2004 Boston Red Sox Tribute Cartoon! I've always been a Boston Red Sox fan. When I was young, I couldn't fall asleep if they lost. As you can imagine, I suffered quite a bit from insomnia as a child. Such painful moments that I can't bare to type here, but any true fan knows what I mean. However, that all came to an end in 2004 when they won the World Series. Is it true? Did it really happen? It's still hard to believe. I did this cartoon in tribute to the event. Apparently, in my happy delusion I didn't really think too clearly. I picked "Walking on Sunshine" as the song Buddy decides to play. Yes the chorus fits well, but the verse lyrics not so much. Maybe I should have picked "Dancing in the Streets"..but then again, I doubt they were dancing "Up in New York City" and with the riots in Boston, well, maybe it's good I didn't...
Of course, now there's new seasons filled with new dissappointments. Be sure to check out my merchandise page for Red Sox and Cubs Fans! Damn Right I've Got The Blues!
If you're a Chicago Cubs fan, keep scrolling to view my tribute cartoon for you!
Speaking of dancing, above is Jonathan Papelbon doing the Riverdance after the ALCS Game 7 victory over the Indians!
Chicago Cubs Tribute Cartoon! Since the Red Sox won the World Series in 2004, I had to modify this comic strip to fit the next-best hapless team. That, of course, is the Chicago Cubs. Cubs fans - I feel your pain!
