More number one records than Elvis, The Beatles, The Beach Boys, and the Rolling Stones combined, this collective of studio musicians dubbed "The Funk Brothers" went largely unknown until guitarist Allan Slutsky wrote the book "Standing in the Shadows of Motown." In 2002, a documentary of the same name was released and won many film rewards. It's a great movie to own and I've seen it available in many dollar stores!
